Kevin 'Luke' Williams works as a Library Production Assistant at Freedom Reads. Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Luke was convicted in 1993 and sentenced to life plus 33 years. Luke did 26 years and made parole on December 19, 2019. What kept him going through his journey was perseverance, family, and belief in God. Luke met Dwayne Betts in 1999 while serving time and, with Dwayne's help and dedication fighting for his freedom, Luke was blessed to walk out of prison. Luke was the first person Dwayne represented to walk out of prison. Luke's favorite book is A Question of Freedom by Dwayne Betts.
